Our trip to Europe was quite simply amazing. I kept touching things to see if they were real.
I've read about old buildings. I've seen pictures of castles, Elizabethan houses, etc. But until you walk up to one, see the tool marks, feel the tool marks, you just don't know what it's like. To be surrounded by so much history is awesome, in the original sense of the word. There's nothing even remotely comparable in the US.
