Door County Wisconsin 2006
My wife and I had just finished dinner (a traditional Door County fish boil, of course). We decided to wander down by the shore, despite the light mist falling. It was about a half-hour or so before sunset. We were treated to this sight for our "troubles."
The contrast in the original image was pretty bad. I've found that applying a monochrome Channel Mixer layer with a Soft Light blending style really boosts contrast. I ended up setting the blue and green to low negative values, and the red to a low positive value. Now if I could just get the lighting right in the first place. ; )
