This is the view from my desk. What I particularly like about this view, at this time of the morning, is the double shadows. The shadows slanting down from right to left are from the sun. The shadows slanting down from left to right are from the reflection of the sun off the building on the west side of the street.

Filming for Transformers 3 has been going on for a few weeks here in Chicago. I think it's wrapping up now. Might be done. This lot is about midway between my office and the train station. I don't usually go this way, but for some reason last week I decided to. I was rewarded with a view of all of this "detritus" used to dress the outdoor sets. When I told my wife about this, she specifically requested pictures. So this is for her. :) Shot on my 5MP Android phone. Not bad, considering.

Musée de l’Orangerie, Paris, France Between the entrance hall and the galleries housing Monet's Les Nymphéas is a small elliptical vestibule. Two tall, thin windows give light, and a last glimpse of the gardens surrounding the museum.
